A Bride’s Interview with Just Be The Bride Owner Caitlin Boshnack

What makes you different from other wedding planners?

I am extremely meticulous and often find that I have very high standards. This can be seen in my work, inspiration boards, design concepts and how I manage the most important day in you and your future husband’s lives. I hold these same standards to the vendors/wedding professionals that I bring onto my team. I expect the highest professionalism and collaboration of each wedding professional, and this will make the biggest difference in your wedding day. For me, having a team of wedding professionals who work together and perform at their highest ability is what each bride and groom deserve on their wedding day.

I set very high standards for myself in education and development. Before starting my own company, I earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. I am an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) who is always striving for the next level of professional accreditation. I extend my value in education to local wedding professionals as the director of the Association of Bridal Consultant’s Southern New Jersey chapter. I have a keen sense of upcoming wedding trends by attending numerous regional and national wedding conferences throughout the year.

Tell us something most brides don’t know about you?

I cry at every wedding! I am such a romantic that even if I watch a wedding on TV; I cry. I am just so moved at the notion that I am witnessing memories forming and lives intertwining. For me, the ceremony is such a moving experience.

In your opinion, what is the role of a wedding planner?

A truly polished wedding planner will exude 3 different roles for her clients: Coordinator, Designer, and Event Manager. The Coordinator will keep her couple on task at each phase of the planning process while educating them on timing, pricing and industry standards. The Designer will tell the unique and special love story through the unlimited design opportunites throughout the wedding day. I love to surprise the guests by including design aspects that they have never seen before! The Event Manager is the point person for every wedding professional and creates a smooth timeline that allows each professional the opportunity to provide high quality service.

What is your favorite bridal magazine?

To be honest, I love them all for different reasons and I never throw a bridal magazine out. I constantly go back to past issues for inspiration or to cut one up while creating an inspiration board for a bride. But if you must know, I always have the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings on my bedside table. I will spend an entire week reading and rereading each issue for inspiration.

What is the best way for brides to contact you?
